Hello sweet friends I hope you are having a lovely holiday season. Here at Storybook Fashion we have slowed way down to enjoy visits with friends and family. There have been delicious meals, great books read and films watched. It is a very much needed slow living rest. As I began gathering together the Fashion Posts of 2022 I realized why I am so worn out. It was an incredible year for creating fashion. I hope you will enjoy this look back.
Fashion Posts of 2022
The year of sewing started out with some fairly simple projects as I was in the midst of tearing our kitchen apart. But I would soon pick up speed.
Cozy Winter Sewing A Blouse And A Robe
Marianne’s Ballgown and Mock up
Mid Century Holiday Hat and Dress
The Little Women Collection
We ended the year with several garments and hats made for the Little Women Holiday.

As unbelievable as it may seem there were also plenty of projects didn’t make the cut. Pun intended. lol
As well as garments that weren’t shared on the website but can be seen on my Instagram. They include a vintage chenille robe and a silk Edwardian tea dress. (The beautiful black velvet handbag came from my friend Rita who has a fabulous blog and runs an antique booth.)
I have already created my 2023 sewing wish list. I have plans to dip my toe into 18th century fashion (Hello Marie Antoinette!).
A few charming 1930’s dresses and blouses are also in the lineup. But I also know myself well enough that I am a bit of a magpie and often have my head turned by pretty, shiny things.
I’ll be back soon with a special Sunday Smiles.

What a productive and very busy year, Laura! I know the many hours spent constructing those period fashions. For me, it’s all about the Era, and I’m in love with the 1920s fashions. I also love the LP 1960s look. Happy Bew Year!
