Happy New Year sweet friends! It’s been a slow living week here at Storybook Cottage and boy does it feel good. Today is a special Sunday Smiles edition featuring the Decor To Adore Top 10 2022.
Decor To Adore Top 10 2022
I myself like reading top 10 posts. It’s a quick way to see if I’ve missed anything truly fantastic from blogs that I love.
It also never ceases to amaze me of everything I accomplished in one year when I go to write my own. So let’s start with number 10.
Number 9
Sunday Smiles posts are a crowd favorite and they will definitely continue in the New Year. The most popular one was titled Sunday Smiles English Rose.
Number 8
It appears readers love a good scrap craft project. The vintage inspired flag was loved by many.
Number 7
Jane Austen themed posts remain a fan favorite. Here is the Garden Party.
Side note: coming in at number 11 was the Regency Era Kitchen Cutting Garden which you also might enjoy.
Number 6
I had been wondering if readers liked the Travel Tuesdays series. Happily you do, so I will have similar posts to 24 Perfect Hours In Palm Beach in 2023.
Number 5
There are definitely some Downton Abbey fans reading DTA. Autumn at Highclere Castle was beloved.
Home Tours
Home Tours are always popular and they take up the next 3 positions.
4. Little Women Holiday Home Tour
I think this tour was so popular because it showed off the German Schmear technique we did on the fireplace.
Number 1
It is no surprise that my biggest, most pinned post of the year was the kitchen reveal. The renovation itself took almost 10 months from start to finish. You also seemed to enjoy the construction updates.
We are actually going to start a renovation of the formal dining, living and sun room in February/March. So if you enjoyed this process there’s more to come! Of course, there will be crafts as well as more decor to adore.
Thank you for sharing this journey! I so appreciate you.

Happy New Year, dear Laura! It’s fun seeing this list! I have to say, Sunday Smiles is always my least favorite of your posts as I like to see YOUR things, not the other links. Too many “parties” for linking. And your work is so beautiful and exquisite — whether it is home, travel writing and photos, or your crafts and costumes — those are what touch me most!
I send all good wishes for a wonderful new year — I’m glad to see 2022 out the door and hope 2023 brings only goodness! Much joy to you!
