Earlier this week the Fashionista and I had a mini fashion shoot with Sweet Guy. Afterwards, while still in our pink gingham mother/daughter dresses we had to run a few errands. People stopped, stared, squealed and shared stories about their love of pink. But mainly they mostly smiled. Particularly the employees at Starbucks when we ordered pink drinks via the drive through. My plans this past week were to completely redo two flower beds. That, laughingly, did NOT happen. Our heat index has been in the 115 degree Fahrenheit range. There's more of the same to come this week. It doesn't even cool down at night. The shutters at Storybook Cottage have been shut up tight to keep the heat out and the A/C in.
