Sunday Smiles 101

Hello sweet friends, I hope you had a wonderful week. We moved Sweet Guy home for the summer. Cheers to all the college parents bringing back twice the amount that their kids left with. He starts a summer class and an internship on Monday. While I think time will fly by I am going to try and savor every minute. Let's begin by looking at some pretty shared on Sunday Smiles 101. A dreamy organic dahlia garden. A Nantucket Summer Home I could move right in to this charming blue hued ... View the Post

Retro Inspired Cocktail Party

Hello sweet friends! Wow what a weekend it was. I got up before the sun to watch the coronation and then joined in the fun later that night at a Retro Inspired Cocktail Party celebrating the engagement of Sweet Guy and his Sweet Gal.  Setting the Scene The day before the party I created several floral centerpieces to add interest around the bride's parents home. The color palette included retro favorites such as avocado green, burnt orange, and harvest gold.  Vintage cocktail ... View the Post

NOTICE: I think this will be the last week of a specifically titled Sunday Smiles post. As I have now been writing this series for about four years it took me about 45 minutes to find a title that I hadn't used before. A new unused title is good for SEO optimization purposes (aka it helps the blog in Google rankings.) Starting ... View the Post

On Monday Mr. Décor had extensive hand surgery in an attempt to regain some mobility in his left hand. It was badly damaged in his accident last fall. As you can imagine he needs my assistance with quite a lot.  We also made a very happy announcement.  Sunday Smiles Enchanting April I absolutely love this ... View the Post

Sunday Smiles Early Spring

Hello sweet friends, how is your weekend going? We are experiencing several thunderstorms and showers which is sure to bring more flowers. I've also been rereading a favorite book series by Lucy Maud Montgomery. She was such a poetic writer. Heres to Sunday Smiles Early Spring. Sunday Smiles Early Spring When I was a girl my Grandma Mary and I would color eggs with onion peel, beets and more. This is a great post on dyeing eggs naturally.  The Best Nest I absolutely adore this ... View the Post
