DIY Mini Spring Trees

Hello sweet friends! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful Easter week. Today I am joining Amber of Follow The Yellow Brick Home for the Easter Celebrations Blog Hop. If you are visiting from My Thrift Store Addiction I am so glad that you are here. Wasn’t Cecilia’s post so yummy? Today I am sharing a fast and fun DIY Mini Spring Trees.

Easter Celebrations Blog Hop

A few years ago I created a few Easter Putz houses. They are one of my family’s favorite spring decorating elements. I’ve been wanting to expand the collection and thought adding some additional trees would be perfect.

The Supplies

In the after-Christmas sales, I had found some white bottlebrush trees on clearance. But you can find the trees year-round HERE.

  • White bottlebrush trees
  • Mini branches or eggs
  • Glue (both hot and craft glue)
  • Jewelry nippers or scissors
  • Craft paint (optional)
  • Glitter (optional)

The supplies

Disclosure: I paid for all of the products used to create this craft. I have attached affiliate links to assist in your search if you are looking for similar products.

If you wish to paint the base of your tree begin with that task first. Once the paint is dry you can also cover the base with glue and glitter for extra sparkle.

While the paint and glitter are drying remove the mini flowers/eggs from their stems. Jewelry nippers make this an easy task.

Then just simply add the embellishments to the trees. Hot glue is quick. However, if you are creating this craft with children craft glue works well too.

The trees can be whatever color or style you envision.

Don’t these small berries resemble Easter eggs? I can’t wait to make a few more with small spring-colored flowers!

I love how they look with the Putz houses.

This Week’s Video

I created two different vignettes featuring the trees. You can see them both, as well as a visual tutorial, in this week’s video.

You can find all the dress pattern details HERE.

These are darling. I have a bunch of green trees I need to bleach first and probably won’t get these done this season but I’m holding onto it for some cold February or March day next year when I can go to town on it! They’re wonderful, Laura!

Awesome idea. I love bottle brush trees; I use them a lot for my dollhouses. I think I need to do an Easter tree. I did Halloween trees (HL had a package of 3 black trees left after Christmas!) recently for the first time!
