My own father passed away before I was born. Growing up I was blessed as I child to have felt the love of a father through grandfathers, uncles and other kindhearted souls. A Father's Hands. But I truly didn't understand the concept of fatherhood until Mr. Decor entered my life. I knew that it would take someone very special to not just capture my heart, but also heal the broken heart of one very sweet little girl. He not only rose to the challenge, he exceeded all expectations. A ... View the Post
Ribbon Covered Chandeliers
I recently needed to purchase some furniture for my current design job. While walking towards my intended destination I passed by the new Vera Bradley store and stopped dead in my tracks. It was not a darling cosmetic bag or washable suitcase that caught my eye, but the Ribbon Covered Chandeliers. My dear friend, Miss Sandy from Quill Cottage, created an entire series of posts on LIW in June of 2008. You ... View the Post

My pretty pansies were a wilted mess. All of the pots needed to be refreshed for the summer. I found several lovely things in the nursery. My gardener approved of all the choices. Of course, we all know that good help is hard to find. I caught the gardener lounging about and ended up doing all the work ... View the Post
