In the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room

Welcome to the second in a series of seaside themed crafts. I am so happy you loved the vintage boardwalk holiday gift bags. In the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room. This makeover is for anyone who might have a soiree to attend this summer. I always like to take along a gift for the host or hostess. Flowers and wine are always nice, but I truly love giving a gift that can be enjoyed well past the party. I thought this gift was something cool to give that can be enjoyed time and again over the ... View the Post

Two of the treasures that I brought back from my grandmother's house were these cross-stitched pieces of linen that featured a courting couple. Where the Quaint Things Are

Where the Quaint Things Are. "Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under the trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time." ~ John Lubbock Where the Quaint Things Are While I am on my week-long sabbatical I thought you might like to visit the blog my first born has created. It is entitled "Where The Quaint Things Are". Her blog is vastly different than mine. Yet, there exists a ... View the Post

Friendly Friday Arlynn’s Home

I am currently working on a commercial remodel and design of a condo clubhouse. It is a large job and I am partnering with my dear friend Arlynn who is a decorator herself. During one of our meetings to discuss plans for the remodel I took a few pictures of her home. I love this art that hangs in her office. Although her kids are now grown, it is still precious. Friendly Friday Arlynn's Home. The home itself is built in the Spanish Colonial style. Within its four walls, Arlynn has cleverly ...
