I have always been envious of those who had the ability to pack just 5 items of clothing and look cute 800 different ways. My stylish friend Reachel enlightened me with the following formula: Pack just one item of clothing for each day that you are gone. WHAT! This was so counterintuitive to what I have done in the past. I was an “outfit for everyday of the trip” type of gal. The secret is to devise a wardrobe that can be mixed and matched. You can do this one of two ways. The first is ... View the Post
Remnants of the Past
The Fashionista and I drove from Phoenix to Laguna Beach late Thursday night. We encountered unbelievable traffic and detours. Up early Friday morning to pack up the truck we drove another 5 hours to San Luis Obispo. I was a bit of a nervous wreck hauling such a precious load for such a great distance. We were headed to the Remnants of the Past show. Remnants of the Past Upon arriving I was filled with giddiness brought on by the creative beauty of the outdoor booths. This lovely gem ... Decorating With Seashells
As the temperatures soar higher here in Phoenix I find myself turning towards the cool colors of blue and turquoise. Accents of seashells remind me of favorite trips to the beach and somehow, everything seems cooler. Years ago Mr. Décor went scuba diving in the Red Sea and found the sand colored shell waiting for him at the bottom. It seems fitting to put it under glass. The blue floral bookmark I recently made reminds me of a sea anemone. A beach nymph that once sat on Grandma ... View the Post
Dollar Store Blooming Bookmark
It’s graduation week here in Phoenix. Several wonderful young ladies we know will be participating in this rite of passage. We wanted to acknowledge their accomplishments without breaking the bank. So we made a few of the Dollar Store Blooming Bookmark. Dollar Store Blooming Bookmark I almost hesitated to share this craft because it’s SO easy and inexpensive. But we all like that right? I picked up a 6 pack of girls elastic headbands at the Dollar Store. I found various flower, butterfly ... View the Post
