Room by room Storybook Cottage is being transformed into the lovely beauty she once was. The laundry room had been particularly abused. Way back in October Mr. Decor ripped up the rotted linoleum and treated the moldy floors. Generally the laundry room is one of the hardest working spaces in a home. But there is no reason that it can't also be pretty.The laundry room at Storybook Cottage has generous storage in the form of two sets of cabinets. However, they are placed fairly high up on the wall. The height combined with the width of the washing machine and dryer makes it a bit difficult to reach.Since I do laundry about every other day I wanted easy access to the soap, bleach and softener I use. It’s been somewhat of a symphony of crickets here on the DTA blog. After making it through finals I knew I had just 2 weeks before my next semester started. It has truly been a busy and amazing six short weeks. To tackle not one, not two but THREE areas in such a short time borders on cuckoo. Oh I can hardly believe this is the last day of April. This month has just flown by. This past week was all about painting projects. The freshly painted mantle was hung and I began to try out various groupings of accessories. I also found some pillows for the couch that were almost the perfect color palette…. It’s week 4 dear friends and this time the ORC is kicking my behind! It doesn’t matter that our exterior drainage problem has finally been resolved and I can begin cleaning the mud out of my carpets. It makes no difference that I conquered a major ant infestation. No one is really interested in the two lengthy compare/contrast art history papers I wrote, the 9 lectures I attended, or the test I aced.
