Vintage Pillowcase Apron Tutorial

About three years ago I had seen a darling apron made from vintage pillowcases. I put the image into my style file and there it sat until this last weekend. Here is a Vintage Pillowcase Apron Tutorial. Vintage Pillowcase Apron Tutorial In cleaning out my sewing closet I came across my great grandmother's handiwork and decided that there would never be a better time than the present to create my own apron. I decided to videotape my efforts so that I could create a tutorial for you. If you ... View the Post

Springtime Craft Lamb Shadowbox

I spent last Saturday in the company of some pretty crafty women. The delightfully talented Meri hosted a shadowbox tutorial class. I had decided I wanted a springtime shadow box and this was my Springtime Craft Lamb Shadowbox. Springtime Banner Tutorial

I had a wonderful weekend. Did you? Yesterday was perfection in that I spent time with my family and crafted a bit of sweet springtime to decorate our home. Here is a Springtime Banner Tutorial. Tiny Sweet Treats and Ghoulish Attire

I am sure that many of you have seen the sweet cake buntings that talented bloggers have been creating recently. Putting my own spin on a great idea I thought “Doesn’t everything look cuter in miniature”? So I created a cupcake bunting. Tiny Sweet Treats and Ghoulish Attire. Tiny Sweet Treats and Ghoulish Attire Warning: your eyes might cross while working at such a small scale, but the “ooh’s and ahh’s” will make it all worth it. Here is a close up of the three tiny triangles made ... View the Post

A Seaside Shelf

In Sweet Boy’s bathroom, there was a space above the towel bar that cried out for a bit of art. Perhaps A Seaside Shelf. A Seaside Shelf Mr. Decor was replacing part of our fencing and we were left with some nicely weathered boards. I grabbed the miter box, saw, hammer and nails and created a shelf of sorts. It’s hard to see, but I painted the outside edge “Glass Bottom Boat” by Martha Stewart. I then googled “vintage shell images” and found a few prints that I loved. After ... View the Post
