A Valentine Bon Bon Basket

Isn’t the Target $1 spot wonderful? A few weeks ago I spotted some tiny paper valentine baskets on the bottom shelf. My mind thought that they were cute but could possibly be made cuter. I transformed them into A Valentine Bon Bon Basket. A Valentine Bon Bon Basket I purchased two packages of the baskets, each a different design. I also found some darling paper cupcake liners that I planned on using to line the baskets. Once home I dug through my supplies and found crepe paper, tissue ... View the Post

Romantic Antique Lace Napkin Rings

My name is Laura and I am an antique lace scrap hoarder. Some of my precious bits are so small I wondered what I would ever do with the pieces other than admire them. Inspiration struck when I began planning my Valentine tablescape. I wanted romance and lace and lots of it! So Romantic Antique Lace Napkin Rings were created. I have a tiny holiday table this year so I decided to create something truly crafty. It began when I discovered a sack full of dirty, rusty boxes at the ... View the Post

Hi Ya

The day started out in the school office. Sweet Boy and I like to make sure that the administrative ladies know we love them. Hi Ya! The 4th graders were enjoying the Great Pumpkin Caper. Pumpkins were weighed and measured. Ridges on the pumpkin had to be counted. Then the pumpkin had to be scooped out and every single seed counted. The kids really enjoyed the slimy goodness. I then had lunch with Lady Gaga (aka The Fashionista). Of course, every Ga Ga needs a Little ... View the Post

Paper Rosettes

In Monday’s post I shared with you that I had covered up a decorating faux pas with a paper rosette. The Paper Rosettes are so fun and take just minutes to make. Supplies and Tutorial You will need: Three pages from a book. (For the rosettes I’ve shown it was an average sized paperback.) A hot glue gun (Although you could use regular glue and a clothespin to hold the pages in place while drying.) A bone folder (To help create a crisp crease/fold.) You can purchase bone folders at any ... View the Post
