Welcome to A Tasha Tudor Inspired Holiday Home Tour. This year Storybook Cottage has touches of Corgi Cottage, the beloved home of illustrious writer and artist, Tasha Tudor.
A Tasha Tudor Inspired Holiday Home Tour
The front entry to our home features a handmade garland. Although it isn’t as perfect as faux pine greenery the smell is pure holiday heaven!
Tasha Tudor loved fresh greenery paired with touches of red.
Sugar pinecones, apples, and pomegranates are gorgeous accents.
You can see additional images of the front porch HERE.
Living Room
The living room features more greenery and touches of red. Tasha famously used her red antique ribbons year after year.
Every year a new focal point is created for the mantel. This trio of wreaths might be my favorite yet!
The star of the show is of course the Christmas tree.
It features natural elements and more red ribbon.
Red baskets adorned with various Tasha Tudor artwork hold clues to each day’s Advent treasure hunt.
A peek into the dining area.
Sparkle and shine!
Dining Room
Our dining room has been bedecked with traditional touches paired with accents of blue and white.
While it may seem like an unusual combination I took inspiration from the book Tasha Tudor Forever Christmas.
Tasha always began with a red tablecloth and then topped it with blue and white china accented with green goblets.
My great grandmother’s silver plate adds a touch of sparkle.
You can see more of the dining room as well as the inspirational artwork and photographs HERE.
Kitchen
The kitchen is truly the heart of the home. Mr. Decor added the garland fairy lights and I adore it so much!
The holiday paperwhites I planted HERE are growing beautifully.
An antique wagon is filled with seasonal goodness.
The simple centerpiece uses a silver tray, red transferware, and vintage mercury ornaments.
Over on the counter a simple vingnette features a framed copy of Tasha’s gingerbread recipe, cookies and this years Advent wreath.
Right above the vignette is the glass-fronted cabinet that is decorated each season.
This holiday-themed collection features a vintage coffee set recently given to me by my cousin Tara. I love the chef’s red and green plaid bowties! Grandma Mary’s pinecone elves frolic with Grandma Joyce’s happy Santa.
As Tasha’s home was called Corgi Cottage, a darling tea towel gives a nod to this.
The Sparrow Post
On the small kitchen wall area, I created the Sparrow Post. It is a mini mailbox filled with daily Advent wishes.
It is overseen by a bespectacled postmaster, Augustus Sparrow. There are more details on this charming tradition HERE.
Gracie the dachshund and I hope you have enjoyed this Tasha Tudor Inspired Holiday Home Tour.

I love how you take a theme and bring it to life with your wonderful stories and decor. Your red dining room is such a favorite this year and of course, I adore your kitchen, always a favorite too. My most favorite thing of all is the last photo of you dressed in one of your vintage designs and holding Gracie. How you design and sew each costume to fit your theme always amazes me. Such talent. Thanks so much for joining the tours again this season, I always look forward to see how you change up your theme and decor.

My daughter is named Annabelle for my maternal grandmother, so of course she had several copies of Tasha Tudor’s “A is for Annabelle” gifted to her when she was born. What a great way to give her a nod in your decorating! The cottage looks beautiful and cozy–just perfect for a Christmas celebration.

What a beautiful classic Christmas style! I love all of your unique Christmas finds and traditional touches. That little wagon is so cute filled with the presents too. The photo of you at the end is perfect – you should print that out and frame it! Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and holiday season. It’s wonderful touring with you as always.

I don’t know where to begin, I love this so much. I love your inspiration and every room, every green. But I have to confess, I am simply swooning at your kitchen. I love it to bits!
I ordered some paperwhites, which came yesterday and I will begin today. I loved that you did just one in a cup! Wouldn’t that be a wonderful take-away for a holiday tea? Well, not this year. But next, maybe?
