Hello sweet friends! Friday posts here at DTA often feature fashion-related content. But today we’ll be looking at A Tasha Tudor Inspired Holiday Tablescape.
A Tasha Tudor Inspired Holiday Tablescape
In the book, Tasha Tudor Forever Christmas an entire chapter discusses Tasha’s holiday table.
The table is set with a turkey red tablecloth.
Tasha often painted holiday images with this feature.
Next, her favorite blue and white dishes were set on the table.
Green goblets and silver accents were added last.
Now to be quite honest I wasn’t sure about this combination.
But I truly love it now.
In Wednesday’s post, we discussed hanging Advent wreaths. The faux pine branches accented with red satin ribbon really dress up the chandelier.
Red She Said
I didn’t have a red tablecloth. In perusing my collection of estate sale finds I found a cream cloth that was looking a bit dingy and had a few stains.
A quick dye in Rit Cheery Red and the cloth was given a new lease on life!
The table was then set with blue and white china.
Green goblets provide a festive touch.
My grandmother’s silver plate adds a touch of sparkle.
Vintage napkins found at an estate sale a few years ago combine all of the colors beautifully.
The centerpiece is very simple. Greenery collected from the yard was placed in a blue and white container.
Over on the sideboard, the elements are repeated.
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Channukah, Winter Solstice, or Kwanzaa I hope this festive tablescape inspires you,
See you on Sunday with more inspiration!

That is quite lovely, Laura! I have seen several bloggers use blue & white this holiday season and I find it a cheerful twist on red & green. Happy December.
