Little House on the Prairie Costumes

This post is for everyone who loves Little House on the Prairie (both the books and the show) as well as Laura Ingalls Wilder. Over the years I have made many Little House on the Prairie Costumes to wear to various events with the cast as well as at the historical sites. I have gathered together several of the sewing tutorials and videos all in one place.

Here you will find numerous sewing patterns for pioneer clothing and accessories worn by children, women and men.

Sunbonnets and Aprons

For many people when they think of clothing worn by Laura Ingalls or other characters from Little House on the Prairie®  they instantly think of sunbonnets and aprons.

This past August I released a line of official Little House on the Prairie® patterns for aprons and sunbonnets. You can find them all in my Etsy shop.

The wonderful thing about these patterns is that they are a Learn To Sew series of patterns and are perfect for the beginner. Each patterns comes with written instructions, pictorial instructions as well as a step by step tutorial video.

You can watch all of the Learn To Sew videos HERE. The first pattern in the series is the Mercantile Apron.
