My son’s future in laws have done it again! Last Saturday Mr. Decor and I attended a fabulous Scooby Doo Halloween Party. Jinkies, it was so good!
Scooby Doo Spooky Island
Did you grow up watching Scooby Doo?
This year Mike and Michele transformed their front yard into Spooky Island.
It takes months of planning to create and build these amazing props.
Zoinks, they didn’t miss a single detail!
Don’t you love these two headhunter victims?
Enter if you dare!
Scooby Doo Halloween Party
Mike and Michele always construct a fabulous interior photo backdrop for their guests to enjoy.
The center island in the kitchen is also on theme.
The Scooby Snacks at the party were so delicious!
All the guests bring a dish to add to the festive array of foods both savory and sweet.
These Feed Me Seymour cupcakes were so cute and clever!
Annual Photo Shoot
Michele’s brother, Michael Roberts, is such an amazing photographer. He took all of the following photos.
Captain Cutler, the sea diving villian, is in hot pursuit of the gang.
Michele once again outdid herself with all the costumes.
Will those meddling kids let the villian get away with it?
Officer McBride and Velma are hot on the case.
Thank you Mike and Michele for another memorable evening!
What We Wore
As most of you know most of this year has been dedicated to sewing the Little House costume collection. I did not have much time to come up with our costumes. In thinking about Scooby Doo villians I always loved the scarecrows.
We simply pulled items from Mr. Decor’s closet to create his look.
As you can see he continues to hate dressing up. LOL
My cape and scarecrow hat were made from antique scraps of lace, doilies, vintage quilt blocks and circa 1930s fabric.
The pocket on the left is a perfect spot to hold some candy corn.
I made 26 scarecrow hats for my Etsy shop and just four are left. You can see them HERE.
