Happy Halloween bats and ghouls! I have all treats for you today with some truly Epic Star Wars Themed Decor.
Epic Star Wars Themed Decor
Thank you so much for all your wonderful comments on yesterday’s Star Wars Costume Extravaganza post. Mike and Michele truly go all out!
This includes creating a grand entrance in the front yard of their home.
This AT-AT Walker (All Terrain Armored Transport) was just incredible!
It was created by Mike from scrap wood.
Finishing details also included pool noodles and everything was then painted.
Here’s an image to give you a reference for the finished size.
Across from the AT-AT Walker are a tongue in cheek rendition of the Storm Troopers. These skeletons are transformed every year.
This year’s makeover involved masks created from gallon sized milk jugs.
The blasters are water guns that were spray painted black.
Darth Maul
The entrance into the home features The Imperial Crest and Darth Maul.
Both bases were created from industrial foam board and hand painted by Michele who is a fabulous artist.
Tusken Raider
The Tusken Raider began as a foam head. 3D print files were found for some of the face parts. Michele then added papier mâché over it. The mouth is wrapped in vinyl. The head and body were covered in a raw silk fabric that was tea dyed.
Jawas
The Jawas were created in a similar fashion to the Tusken Raider.
Their robes were made of a rough burlap fabric which was painted and weatherproofed. LED lighting was used for the eyes.
For size reference I am 5’4″ tall.
Galaxy Vibes
At night is when the magic really happens with spotlighting and a fantastic soundtrack.
You can see a short video on my Instagram page.
Interiors
Mike’s office was transformed into an amazing photo backdrop. It was created with foam board, vents, paint and rope lighting.
Guests to their annual costume party got the memo on the theme!
Epic Battle
The two dads, Wise Obi- Wan and Obi-Wan the younger, couldn’t resist engaging in an epic battle for laughs.
It takes Mike and Michele an entire year to create all of their costumes and epic decorations.
We feel incredibly blessed to have the Scoma’s adding such epic drama to our lives. The party truly was a blast!
See you Friday,
Laura

Your families were meant to be together. This is so fun! I’m guessing each year is a different theme? Truly awesome.
