Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirates House For You

Hello sweet friends! Happy Halloween weekend. Do you have any spooktacular plans? While I normally showcase homes in all their gorgeous glory today I hauntingly offer up Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirates House For You.

A few weeks ago my friend Michele shared her glorious Pirates of the Caribbean costumes.

Mike and Michele carried over this year’s theme onto their Halloween house decor.

The design and construction of the theme begins a year in advance. Michele handcrafted the paper mache pumpkin heads.

Mike constructed the boat out of recycled pallets.

Michele used Foam Board Insulation to create the huge skull in the entryway.

Mike is also in charge of all the lighting and sound.

This Week’s Video

Since you can’t hear or see changing lights in a photograph I made a short video you can watch HERE.

Mr. Decor and I will be attending their annual (outdoor) celebration. We plan to wear our Belle and Gaston costumes.

Have a bootiful weekend!

How very clever! They really go all out and I just love it. I know how much time that takes — how splendid!

So creative! Kids (and adults too) must really love to go trick or treating there!

That is just amazing. I can’t believe he built that boat out of pallets, I know how much work it is to even take those apart. This is just a marvelous display.
