I am in the process of creating a gallery wall that will brighten up my very dark hallway. My budget for Creating 3 D Seashell Art is around $10. Creating 3 D Seashell Art I purchased two value packs of 5” x 7” canvases at Michael’s. Using a coupon the canvases were just $1.62 each. ($6.48 for all four.) I had several bottles of acrylic paint leftover from previous projects and picked out various seaside colors to paint each canvas. The secret to painting, whether it be acrylic, ... View the Post
Delicious Greek Pasta Salad
It’s already getting so warm in Phoenix that I hesitate to turn my oven on. This recipe is a cool family favorite and so easy to make. The recipe is as follows: I box of cooked orzo pasta ( I use Barilla.) 1 deseeded and chopped English Cucumber (although a regular cuke will do in a pinch) 2 cups halved cherry tomatoes (or 2 regular tomatoes deseeded and chopped) 1/2 cup chopped purple onion 1/3 cup thinly sliced fresh basil 1 1/2 cups crumbled feta cheese (more or less per your ... Perfect for a Spring Brunch~ Julia’s Quiche Aux Oignons
As my children are now older I have found myself transitioning from egg hunts to really focusing on Easter itself. In this way we celebrate not just one day, but the entire Holy week. On Palm Sunday I went and got sprinkle donuts in spring colors. I never do this and my kids were thrilled. This morning I arose early to make Julia Child’s Quiche Aux Oignons (Onion Quiche). I used leeks which I love dearly and they feel like spring to me. You can find Julia’s original recipe HERE. I made ... View the Post
No More Towels On The Bathroom Floor!
Perhaps like many of you my guest bathroom also doubles as my 12 year old son’s bathroom. It’s a situation that strikes fear in the hearts of mothers everywhere. My Favorite Five Mr. Decor
Hello everyone~ Laura refers to me as Mr. Décor in blog land, but to everyone else I’m Eric. She asked if I would like to join the “My Favorite Five Mr. Decor” party with my own favorites as a way of keeping in touch since once again I am on the road on our anniversary for the second year in a row. My Favorite Five Mr. Decor My life is a bit of an open book as things I build or projects I help with are often shared on the blog. So I thought on our anniversary it would be fun to share five ... A Cute 20 Something Tablescape
Over the weekend the Fashionista hosted a fun-filled sit-down dinner for a small group of friends. I created A Cute 20 Something Tablescape. A Cute 20 Something Tablescape Much of the happy partyware (Meri Meri) was found at Target on major clearance. You are never too old for noisemakers! Simple dollar store noisemakers were customized by gluing on a paper doily, then using round paper punches in various sizes on scrapbook paper. The 8” x 12” sheets work well in the printer. ...
