The World’s Oldest Intern

The World’s Oldest Intern

Earlier this week I completed a semester-long internship. I can now say that I am very thankful for having had the experience. I may be The World’s Oldest Intern. The World’s Oldest Intern Now here’s the shameful part where I admit that I tried almost everything to get out of doing it. When that didn’t work I decided to avoid this particular graduation requirement and hoped it would go away. Procrastination almost never results in progress. So, I finally started applying to ... My Favorite New Teacup

My favorite new teacup arrived from new friend Jo from Australia. My Favorite New Teacup For the past few years, I had seen postings from dear blogging friends about a teacup exchange hosted by the delightful Stephanie from The Enchanting Rose. This was the first time I joined and it was such fun! You send a package to one person which should include tea and a teacup. You are also welcome to add in sweet little extras. An Unfinished Easter Dress

I was planning to wear such a cute dress this Sunday. Instead, I have an unfinished Easter dress. I had found three yards of a sweet pink and blue vintage fabric at an estate sale for $3. I bought it thinking I was going to make a midi skirt. Then I went to the fabric store and they had the most darling pattern ever on display… It was on sale for $2. Option “B” was my favorite. It needed just three yards for the main part of the dress and half a yard for the collar and belt tabs. I just ... View the Post

Giving Up or Giving Back

Giving Up or Giving Back

Happy Palm Sunday! Recently a few readers inquired if I was still observing the Lenten season. In past years I have talked about what Lent was and participated in 40 bags in 40 days, among other posts. Giving Up or Giving Back. But this year I have quietly been observing Lent while practicing the instructions given in Matthew 6:1-4. So I am NOT going to talk about what I have been doing to prepare my heart for the arrival of Easter. I will only say that it does not involve in giving ... View the Post
