Yesterday I shared my yummy baked boysenberry French toast. To really make it something special I added an easy to make berry syrup. Keep reading to see how easy it is to make and what else you can use it for. Laura’s Boysenberry Baked French Toast
I imagine that like me many of you have pinned several recipes to your Pinterest board and then never did anything else. Last week I decided to change all that. Since it was spring break I took advantage that I had a week off of school and spring cleaned my house from top to bottom in addition to doing a million things to prepare our condo for sale. Unbelievably during this chaos my family still expected hot meals. :) Now Mr. Décor is the type of man that when he is doing hard, manly labor ... View the Post
New Kitchen and Laundry Area Tiled For Less Than $35!
As you may know we are updating the condo our daughter lived in while attending ASU. She has graduated so we are now ready to sell it. We did try to sell it for a great price without updates. We received the nicest compliments about how clean it was, that it was in good shape, the bathroom was amazing... the only complaints and reasons for not purchasing the property were along the lines of “the kitchen appliances and flooring were dated”. Our mistake was that we had assumed someone would ... View the Post
Lemon Blueberry Tea Bread

Now that I am going to the local farmers market every Saturday for fresh produce I have made a few new friends. Otto is a German immigrant who now grows ... View the Post
Now and Forever
Earlier this week we lost a national treasure. Without question or contest Shirley Temple was the biggest child star to ever grace the big screen. She ruled the box office throughout the 1930’s~ Hollywood’s golden age. It is amazing for me to think about that, even 40 years later, when I was a child growing up in the 70’s I lived for early Sunday mornings. The local television station would host “The Shirley Temple Hour”. I remember wanting to sing and dance just like Shirley. I loved her ... View the Post
A Healthier Version of Chipotle at Home
This past Sunday I shared that our family, since the the beginning of the year, has tried to eliminate processed foods from our diet due to recently learning there are family members with severe allergies. A few readers mentioned that they would love to have a healthier diet but don’t have the time to cook from scratch or find that it tastes really bland. For Superbowl Sunday I created a delicious and healthy meal in under 30 minutes (and that included the photography). My picky family ... View the Post
