Fashion· Royal Family

W. /E.

It’s no secret that I am a bit wacko for all things royal. Back in early 2011 when I hit the “publish” button on the very first Royal Wedding Wednesdays post I wondered if it would be met with chirping crickets. On the contrary, the posts to this day continue to have the most page views overall the entries that I have written for DTA. So I thought that just maybe, you might be interested in a new romantic period drama that was recently released, W. /E. W. /E. W./E. is the story of the ... View the Post

A Long Winters Nap

Christmas is still 10 days away. I could choose to fill the time any number of ways, to include working away on a few new posts. Instead, I have decided to take A Long Winters Nap. A Long Winters Nap Today is the last day of school for Sweet Boy. Christmas vacation is set to begin at 3:45 this afternoon. Dickens Fashions for Christmas Faires

I recently typed in a search engine question "How many A Christmas Carol movies are there?" The earliest surviving screen adaptation, Scrooge, or, Marley's Ghost, was made in 1901. There are 19 big screen adaptions and many more productions have been done for tv and the theater. This leads me to believe that many of us can somewhat relate to the selfish miser who hates Christmas but in the end, is beautifully redeemed. This I believe has led to numerous events being held all over the world ... View the Post

Create A Dickens Christmas

Every year I create a new Christmas theme. This year I decided to try and Create A Dickens Christmas. For the past year, I have been researching the Christmas customs and traditions of the Dickens Christmas Era. Create A Dickens Christmas Charles Dickens published his first novel, The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club (also known as The Pickwick Papers) in 1837.  Many consider this the first year of the Dickens Era which lasted until his death in 1870. His novella "A ... View the Post
