Earlier this week the Fashionista and I had a mini fashion shoot with Sweet Guy. Afterwards, while still in our pink gingham mother/daughter dresses we had to run a few errands. People stopped, stared, squealed and shared stories about their love of pink. But mainly they mostly smiled. Particularly the employees at Starbucks when we ordered pink drinks via the drive through. While waiting I turned to my daughter and said, “This is the number one reason why your Ma dresses in vintage style. It makes other people smile.” Here’s to Sunday Smiles 107.
Barbiecore
After recently creating a few pink outfits I thought I was a bit tired of this rosy palette. But then this Barbiecore post has me falling in love all over again.

What you said about your mother-daughter dresses made me smile! When I was probably about 4, my mother made us matching dresses of tiny, tiny pink & white checked gingham with woven red & pink motifs scattered about. The bodices were sleeveless with full gathered skirts & trimmed in pink rickrack. I can still see them so vividly in my mind! When I was 11, I started making a little patchwork quilt & there is even a square of the fabric in it! I hope to find sn old photo of them someday.
