Hello dear friends, I hope you are well. Our family recently traveled to Broken Bow, Oklahoma for an Oktoberfest Party In The Woods.
Oktoberfest Party In The Woods
Last week Sweet Guy celebrated a milestone birthday. His lovely girlfriend’s family suggested that we hold the festivities at their gorgeous cabin, Fire Dancer, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
Upon walking in the pine walls reminded me of a Bavarian chalet we had stayed in while living in Germany.
I loved the neutral decor with happy pops of red.
The cabin comes with a gorgeous full kitchen making the party planning so easy.
I only had to plan the menu and bring the ingredients.
All of the cookware, dishes and more you could want can be found in the beautiful cabinets.
The cabin has 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and a loft that has some fun games.
The three downstairs bedrooms each have a king size bed.
All of the downstairs bedrooms feature en suite bathrooms.
Each bedroom is beautifully decorated.
There is a smart tv in each of the downstairs bedrooms. But with the properties horse shoe pit, hot tub and hiking trails I didn’t turn our tv on once.
In the upstairs bedroom there is a trundle bed, a queen and a twin size bed. Perfect for a passel of cousins or friends.
It also has a full bath.
Pet Friendly
The Fire Dancer cabin is also pet friendly!
Altogether we had three dogs and a bearded dragon. I call Stevie my Grand Beard. He belongs to Megan and is so fun and sweet.
Bavarian Fest
Friday nights theme was a Bavarian Fest. This was a nod to Sweet Guy’s birthplace, in Landstuhl, Germany.
I made a delicious feast for eight. Did I take any photos of the food though? Nope! You’ll have to take my word that it was delicious.
Megan’s mom, Michele, made an incredible beer stein cake. It was delicious!
Balloon Arches and Towers
Michele is also an amazing balloon artist.
She made a few super cute balloon towers. I couldn’t resist grabbing two that featured mylar mugs and placing them in Sasquatch’s hands.
Darling Dirndls
The men in attendance wore various Oktoberfest themed t shirts. The women wore dirndls.
You can see my dirndl HERE.
Megan’s gorgeous dress was inspired by Snow White’s work dress.
All of the Scoma ladies looked lovely!
The Fashionista also joined in the fun.
We all laughed when we saw this picture of our Ponyboy. He will soon be turning one year old.
So much for thinking we were getting a miniature long-haired doxie. LOL! He is so good natured and cuddly though that we wouldn’t trade him for the world.
Fiesta
On Saturday night we enjoyed a fiesta celebration. Both dad’s in attendance share a Latin American heritage.
Michele transformed the balloons with vibrantly fun accents.
The bannister and railing was so festive!
A grand time was had by one and all. But one guy in particular was truly delighted!
Thank you Scoma family for a wonderful weekend!
This Week’s Video
This week’s video is short but sweet. It’s filled with several low cost DIY decorating ideas, lovely scenery and fun fashion.
Now it will be a fight to the finish as I create four fun Halloween costumes for my family. The reveal will be on Monday the 31st.
Mr. Decor is feeling better every day. Thank you for all your lovely thoughts, prayers and kind words.

Good to hear Eric is better and that Pony is now almost the size of a true pony. Great pictures of a wonderful weekend.

And the outfits and table settings are fabulous too. How amazing that everyone wants to play along and get dressed up, too! Every little touch is perfect! I’m looking forward to the video! Happy Birthday , Sweet Guy, and good news on Eric!
