This coming Saturday is Valentine's Day. It makes my heart so happy that there are now so many ways to celebrate love on this special holiday. Exhibit of Emma and Pride and Prejudice Costumes

This past Saturday the Jane Austen Society of North Texas hosted Celebrating Jane Austen’s 250th Birthday in Fashion. The event included  a talk by esteemed Regency era historian and author Hilary Davison as well as an Exhibit of Emma and Pride and Prejudice Costumes. Hello sweet friends! I have just returned from a weeklong research trip to Virginia. It was needed for an upcoming lecture I will be giving in April. Visits were made to the Colonial Williamsburg and Mt. Vernon clothing archives, the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown and a three day intensive 18th century English gown dressmaking class.
