Friday Favorites All My Love

Hello sweet friends! I have just returned from a weeklong research trip to Virginia. It was needed for an upcoming lecture I will be giving in April. Visits were made to the Colonial Williamsburg and Mt. Vernon clothing archives, the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown and a three day intensive 18th century English gown dressmaking class. My heart is so full. Here’s to Friday Favorites All My Love.

The Flower Showhouse

Flower Magazine featured a designer showhouse in Nashville. Each room was more romantic than the next.

Valentine’s Day Delight

Tomorrow I am headed out to hear a lecture on Regency Fashion by the esteemed author Hilary Davidson. I’ve just purchased her latest book, A Guide to Regency Dress, and learned so many new things. A Guide to Regency Dress Hilary DavidsonI don’t want to show up empty handed so I thought I might make her a Jane Austen inspired Valentine favor like this:

What a cute thank you your little bouquet would be! She would be over the moon — who wouldn’t?

Laura your post is so romantic…I LOVE it. So many clever ideas and those cookies! At first glance I thought they were made out of cloth. Thanks for sharing and stay warm no matter where you go. Hugs and Blessings.
