Makeover Monday A Oui Bit of French Flair

Welcome to Makeover Monday A Oui Bit of French Flair. I am in the midst of packing. Suitcases on the bedroom floor, clothes scattered everywhere, endless lists….you get the picture. Makeover Monday A Oui Bit of French Flair When I began planning this trip there were certain things I wanted to take to France. A matching pajama and robe set, a hat to cover early morning flea market hair, and a trench coat. Could I find what I wanted? No of course not. So I made do. First, the pajama’s~ ... View the Post

Kids Say the Darndest Things Easter Edition

On Wednesday I took my 9 1/2-year-old Sweet Boy on our annual pilgrimage to see the Easter Bunny. As his sister is 22 years old I have had many visits with this well suited furry friend. Keep their ages in mind as I now tell you a story. Warning: young egg collectors should not read any further. Kids Say the Darndest Things Easter Edition Kids Say the Darndest Things Easter Edition After our visit to the Easter Bunny my son and I walked back to the car and got in. A Great Find For My French Chairs and More

I have been looking for some new chair pads for my antique French bentwood café chairs for awhile. Most cushions left me feeling a bit like Goldilocks~too large, too hard, too thin, too something…. Then finally A Great Find For My French Chairs and More. I finally found some linen pads from Wisteria that work fairly well. When I purchased them they were on sale for $13. (A steal!) I see they are now back to $19. Compared to other companies that is still a good price. A Great Find For My French ... View the Post

I had decided I wanted a springtime shadow box and this was my Springtime Craft Lamb Shadowbox. Springtime Craft Lamb Shadowbox I loved this sweet vintage lamb figurine so much!     Here you can see a bit more inside the box.   The truly wonderful thing about this class was that each woman’s personality was able to come shining through ... Marie Antoinette’s Hamlet

For all the grandeur that the Palace of Versailles has to offer there is something much more quaint and rustic, that appeals to my beauty-seeking soul. It is Marie Antoinette's Hamlet. The Norman-styled Hamlet, Hameau de la Reine, was designed by architect Richard Mique for Marie Antoinette between 1873 and 1787. It was a place for her to escape the daily rigors of court life.   Marie Antoinette's Hamlet There are a total of eleven houses that surround the big lake. Five of ... View the Post

Royal Wedding Wednesdays When Family Meets the Queen and a Who’s Who

Welcome to Royal Wedding Wednesdays When Family Meets the Queen and a Who’s Who. This may go down in R.W.W. history as the shortest post to date. (I perhaps hear applause from a few?:) Our family from England is visiting this week so I just don’t have the 8~10 hours of research time I normally devote to posts as I have opted to have fun.
