Knockoff Who’s There?

The annual torture has begun arriving in my mailbox. Yours too? Pretty, sparkly, shiny things that this magpie just adores… and can not afford or just cannot bring herself to pry the money out of her crafty hands. So Knockoff Who’s There? As many of you know my sweet girl has worked for Anthro/Urban Outfitters for oh, I guess three years now. It is an awesome company to work for. They are very good to their employees. I was perusing what I might like to add to my closet, kitchen or tree via a ... View the Post

Somewhere Over The Rainbow Finding Your Perfect Color

Welcome to part two in the “makeover your office inexpensively” series. Today we are going to talk about color. Color is very personal and subjective. There is no “wrong color”. A Step By Step Inexpensive Office Makeover

I am currently knee deep in redesigning my office/tv room. My goal is to keep it under $150. Yes, you read that right, $150.00. Give Me Color

I had insomnia early Wednesday morning, so I did what any good blogger would do. I caught up on my reading of online publications. There are truly some stunning holiday issues coming out. I love that such wonderful inspiration is free. Yes, free! First up was the House of Fifty. The article “A Room of Her Own” featured interior designer Saudah Saleem’s closet/workspace. Thank goodness a mustard colored settee was present because I felt like swooning! Of course I may have loved this room as ... View the Post

A Sweet Settee That Cuts The Mustard

Last week I was visiting my favorite thrift shop to pick up a few books for a new project. Instead, I brought home a vintage settee. A Sweet Settee That Cuts The Mustard A Sweet Settee That Cuts The Mustard They were literally unloading this gem off of the delivery truck. I followed the men into the store and immediately took a picture with my phone and sent it to Mr. Décor with this message. “I know you’re not overly enthusiastic about watching tv in the wing chairs. What about this? It’s ... View the Post

Hi Ya

The day started out in the school office. Sweet Boy and I like to make sure that the administrative ladies know we love them. Hi Ya! The 4th graders were enjoying the Great Pumpkin Caper. Pumpkins were weighed and measured. Ridges on the pumpkin had to be counted. Then the pumpkin had to be scooped out and every single seed counted. The kids really enjoyed the slimy goodness. I then had lunch with Lady Gaga (aka The Fashionista). Of course, every Ga Ga needs a Little ... View the Post
