Today is Mother’s Day. Today I am thinking about Mindy Corporon. Mrs. Corporon recently lost not only her father, but also her son in a horrific and senseless attack on a Jewish Community Center in Kansas. Her father, Dr. William Corporon, was a respected medical doctor. Her son, Reat Griffin Underwood, was just 14. He was a Boy Scout who had completed 22 merit badges and was working to become an Eagle Scout. Reat, a high school freshman, was a bright student who was on the school ... View the Post
My Favorite 5 Deborah
Good Morning, Decor to Adore Readers. My Favorite 5 Deborah McCarthy from The Fairfield House and am honored to be contributing to Laura's wonderful blog. This weekend is Mother's Day and as such, women everywhere will be given tokens of love and appreciation -- cards, candy, flowers, phone calls, perhaps a visit and taken out for a meal. My mother will be 81 next month and lives in our home. With that in mind, I decided to share my Favorite Five Gifts to Give An Older Parent. My ... View the Post
A Spring Makeover For Me
You guys I have been SO busy with school that I hadn’t been to the hairdressers since January! I had been cutting my bangs and the front myself. Does anyone else do that? The Final Exam
I love bible studies, do you? It's the best prep for The Final Exam. The Final Exam This past week I’ve been doing another type of studying…. for college exams. I still have History of Photography which has NOT been as fun as it sounds. Then there is a two-part level 2 oral French exam. ... View the Post
Updating Thrift Store Art

Do you want to see how dated they looked before? Keep reading! Over two years ago I had hit the thrift store jackpot when I came upon an entire cache of vintage French and Italian metal frames for mere pennies. I used a few of the frames on my entry way gallery wall. As well as creating a bit of lampshade ... View the Post
Creating 3 D Seashell Art
I am in the process of creating a gallery wall that will brighten up my very dark hallway. My budget for Creating 3 D Seashell Art is around $10. Creating 3 D Seashell Art I purchased two value packs of 5” x 7” canvases at Michael’s. Using a coupon the canvases were just $1.62 each. ($6.48 for all four.) I had several bottles of acrylic paint leftover from previous projects and picked out various seaside colors to paint each canvas. The secret to painting, whether it be acrylic, ... View the Post
