DIY French Lantern Chandelier

I’ve been wanting a French Lantern for a few years. I have not been able to find one that I liked for a price that I was willing to pay. They tend to be fairly expensive. So I decided to make my own. You can also DIY French Lantern Chandelier. DIY French Lantern Chandelier I think lanterns look great in office spaces. Velvet and Linen I really like them in the dining area. St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape

If you need a quick St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape this post is for you! Two weeks ago I got lucky and discovered chocolate leprechauns at See’s Candy. I quickly decided to create an entire tablescape around them.   St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape I had gone into the store with the single mission of purchasing three large candy eggs to nest in some Easter baskets. Then I spied Saint Patrick and it was all over. So I had to create a tablescape. I had posted a few St. Patrick’s Day ideas ... View the Post

St Patricks Day Food and Fun

St. Patrick’s Day is sneaking up on me. I sat down last night to get inspired. Here is St Patricks Day Food and Fun. Long-time readers of my blog know I love out-of-the-box and inexpensive ideas. Repurposing sweaters as “vase warmers” yep, it’s a winner. St Patricks Day Food and Fun Indeed the entire scene is perfect for those who may not quite have a St. Paddy’s “spring” in their step. The paring of teal and kelly green is lovely. This idea made me happy and I just might steal ... View the Post

Vintage Floral Easter Eggs

I had a feeling that Easter would sneak up on me like a quiet little bunny. For the past month, whenever I have had a spare moment I’ve been creating some lovely pastel colored Vintage Floral Easter Eggs. Vintage Floral Easter Eggs The eggs themselves were papier-mâché forms that were imported from Germany. Sadly, Blümchen no longer carries these exact gems. I gave each egg three coats of paint and topped it with a soft glaze.  The interiors remained brightly shaded for a fun ... View the Post

The Most Beautiful Book in the World The Book of Kells

As you know I haven’t really been blogging much these past two weeks. Instead I have been writing a 15 page APA formatted research paper for my Art History class. Final grades were posted this morning. (The class was escalated into a 7 week semester~ whew!) It seems this magnum opus of a paper helped earn me an “A” in the class. (Pardon me while I cry just a little bit in relief.) The Most Beautiful Book in the World The Book of Kells. Given that I often post things of Irish decent in the month ... View the Post

Spring Has Me Thinking About Tree Roses

When I was a little girl my grandparents had wonderful across the street neighbors. At this moment I wish I had a photograph of Willie and Alice to share with you. Alas but I only have their memory in my mind. Charming Willie grew tree roses for his beloved bride. They had pink, red, yellow, and white roses. But the lavender rose was hands down, my favorite. To this day they remain my very favorite rose. Spring Has Me Thinking About Tree Roses As you may be aware I struggle with having ... View the Post
