Tears streamed down my face as I struggled to climb onto the metal gurney so an x-ray could be taken. Sleepless night after sleepless night due to pain. Day after day of lying in bed when I needed to be doing so much more. Through it all, for some reason, I didn’t pray for healing. Instead, I was quiet, prayed for clarity, and for once just tried to Listen. Listen Over two weeks ago I worked in the garden for six hours straight. Twisting, turning, pulling, stretching and lifting. Later ... View the Post
Sunny and Bright Bedroom
This past week I have been spending a good amount of time in bed due to a back injury. Thankfully I am on the road to recovery. The time has given me the chance to really look at my bedroom. My bedroom is currently a white box. The walls are white. The bedding is white. The only contrast is the dark wood furniture. I need a Sunny and Bright Bedroom. I wanted to add in some color and interest for the summer. So I turned to Pinterest. Sunny and Bright Bedroom I typed in ... View the Post

Fabric Needle Books Yesterday several of you inquired if I could provide a few more photos of the needle books. Your wish is my command. I apologize for the photo quality. It has been ... Nobody Special
I recently attended a design event. As I approached the venue I saw a room full of well-polished people. Nothing can make me feel more like my awkward 12-year-old self… just desperate to fit in. Nobody Special. I scanned the crowd and someone caught my eye. She was standing in the corner tightly clutching her purse. I made my way over to her. “What a crowd. Looks like a lot of important people.” I said, a bit cheekily. She responded, “Yeah, I’m not sure why I’m here. I’m nobody special.” ... View the Post

Welcome to Storybook Cottage Summer Home Tour 2016! I am so happy to be participating in the weeklong Summer Home Tours hosted by my dear friend Marty from A Stroll Thru Life. If you are stopping by after visiting Pam’s gorgeous home from Simple Details I want to say that I am so glad that you are here.
