I have become bored with the green hutch in my living room. But I won’t be tossing it aside. Rather, it is time to reinvent or reimagine the piece in an entirely new way. Anita, from Cedar Hill Farmhouse, helped to lead the inspiration for me to create a cabinet of curiosities. A Cabinet of Curiosities The hutch has simply been holding dishes. It’s what a good majority of hutches/china cabinets do. But I began to think about making it into something more. Maybe like a cabinet ... View the Post
DIY Patchwork Fabric Covered Hangers
Last week I was faced with a challenge on how to create a one-hour historical presentation that would be interesting for both children and adults. I find that the best way to keep an audience interested, no matter what the age group, is to make it interactive. This includes looking at historically accurate clothing. And In The End…
And In The End, there will always be a question as to who really rescued whom. Two weeks ago we shared that our beloved Franzie was ill. Cheeseburgers Watching the ducks at the local park. Enjoying his first ice cream cone. You can view the funny video HERE. But despite all this, I could see the ... View the Post

Happy Valentine’s Day! However, some groupings were accented with the pearl hearts that I shared yesterday. The entire family will enjoy the holiday with a simple pasta dinner. We will probably enjoy it in the cozy kitchen. How will you celebrate? Laura ... View the Post
