It’s 113 degrees today. But it’s a DRY heat. Yeah, so much so that my skin could be mistaken for a lizard's. In the summer I live in sundresses. It’s always the same formula. My uniform consists of a cotton dress, cute sandals and fun baubles varied only by color. I am old school. I like coverage. If my summer dresses are sleeveless they always have wide straps so that my dedicates don’t show. Sundressed & Given The Slip Tutorial. I also like to wear a slip underneath my dresses and ... Carrie Leaves the Penthouse SATC 2
A little over two years ago I wrote a post entitled “Carrie Bradshaw Gets A New Apartment”. That post continues to receive a few hits a week. I felt it was my sacred design duty to write about the decor in the sequel. So I viewed Sex In The City 2 immediately upon its release. Apron Strings I often laughed myself silly viewing the antics of hopeful starlet turned housewife, Lucy Ricardo. It somehow always seemed wrong to me if Alice wore anything other than her standard uniform. Commercials often showed images of women in the kitchen. Magazines of the day ... View the Post
The Queen of Hearts
Tomorrow, the Fashionista turns 20. I am in a state of wavering between disbelief that time has passed so quickly and relief that I have survived living with a teenage girl. But she is The Queen of Hearts. The Queen of Hearts The Fashionista and I are very similar in that we are two very creative souls. But while my creative soul hovers in a time period of 200 years ago, she is very modern-minded. Yet we somehow find ways to compromise that don't leave us climbing the walls. As many of ...
