Makeover Monday A Oui Bit of French Flair

Welcome to Makeover Monday A Oui Bit of French Flair. I am in the midst of packing. Suitcases on the bedroom floor, clothes scattered everywhere, endless lists….you get the picture. Makeover Monday A Oui Bit of French Flair When I began planning this trip there were certain things I wanted to take to France. A matching pajama and robe set, a hat to cover early morning flea market hair, and a trench coat. Could I find what I wanted? No of course not. So I made do. First, the pajama’s~ ... View the Post

A Great Find For My French Chairs and More

I have been looking for some new chair pads for my antique French bentwood café chairs for awhile. Most cushions left me feeling a bit like Goldilocks~too large, too hard, too thin, too something…. Then finally A Great Find For My French Chairs and More. I finally found some linen pads from Wisteria that work fairly well. When I purchased them they were on sale for $13. (A steal!) I see they are now back to $19. Compared to other companies that is still a good price. A Great Find For My French ... View the Post

Monday Makeover Disastrous Dress Becomes Fetching Frock

Last Saturday was our Arizona Bloggers Tea held at the English Rose Tea Room. Blogging merrymakers came from far and wide to celebrate the upcoming Royal Wedding. A few weeks prior to the event I set out to find a lavender colored dress to impress H.M. the Queen. Tiny Sweet Treats and Ghoulish Attire

I am sure that many of you have seen the sweet cake buntings that talented bloggers have been creating recently. Putting my own spin on a great idea I thought “Doesn’t everything look cuter in miniature”? So I created a cupcake bunting. Tiny Sweet Treats and Ghoulish Attire. Tiny Sweet Treats and Ghoulish Attire Warning: your eyes might cross while working at such a small scale, but the “ooh’s and ahh’s” will make it all worth it. Here is a close up of the three tiny triangles made ... View the Post

Creating a Cute Apron with Leftover Fabric

I regularly wear aprons to protect my clothes while cooking and baking. Creating a Cute Apron with Leftover Fabric. Creating a Cute Apron with Leftover Fabric After the two wing chairs that were found at the side of the road were slipcovered in antique ticking I found that I still had tons of fabric left. There were a few areas on the fabric that no matter how hard I tried to remove the rust spots, they never completely faded away. I thought about how I could use these pieces of fabric. ... Sundressed & Given The Slip Tutorial

It’s 113 degrees today. But it’s a DRY heat. Yeah, so much so that my skin could be mistaken for a lizard's. In the summer I live in sundresses. It’s always the same formula. My uniform consists of a cotton dress, cute sandals and fun baubles varied only by color. I am old school. I like coverage. If my summer dresses are sleeveless they always have wide straps so that my dedicates don’t show. Sundressed & Given The Slip Tutorial. I also like to wear a slip underneath my dresses and ...
