Built-in Cabinets in the Living Room

The Built-in Cabinets in the Living Room have finally been installed in the living room and we are quite happy! Built-in Cabinets in the Living Room Here is what we started with when we moved in. The design just didn’t seem to fit the space and the wood was also splintering and chipping. A lovely local DTA reader, Sue of Ordinary Miracles, recommended that we try David Logan of New Creation Woodworking. I provided David with a hand-drawn cabinet design that echoed the slight ... The Ugly Garden Contain Yourself

I’ve been tearing up the garden beds in both the front and back yards. I would like to edge them with a permanent structure. In perusing Pinterest I found ideas under the titles of the garden border, garden planter, and garden edging. Stone garden wall and brick garden wall also produced some lovely inspiration. Get ready for The Ugly Garden Contain Yourself. When we bought the house the beds had metal landscape edging combined with plastic brick edging. The Ugly Garden Contain ... View the Post

Creating a Built-in Recycling and Refuse Center

Is it rubbish to talk about trash? I mean, we all have it right? This post will cover Creating a Built-in Recycling and Refuse Center. Creating a Built-in Recycling and Refuse Center Storybook Cottage had come with a trash compactor. We think it might even have been original to our 30-year-old house. Sunroom Décor Ideas

I am ready to begin decorating the sunroom. Right now it’s feeling a bit empty and white. Here is a collection of Sunroom Décor Ideas. Sunroom Décor Ideas The sunroom sits just right off of our living room. It is a long and narrow bowling alley of a space. It measures just 11’ 7” by 16’ 9”. Indeed if you stand at the front door you can see all the way to the back door. There are nice features in the area~ hardwood floors, crown molding and plantation shutters on the tall windows. ... A Closer Look at the Kitchen Renovation Subway Tile Backsplash

When we first decided to replace the countertops, we had a thought to keep the existing backsplash. The variegated square stone tiles weren’t too bad. However, once we decided to go with Corian countertops, the bottom tiles needed to be removed for the countertop installation. Upon closer inspection, we knew there would be no way to salvage the stone tile as they had been applied directly to the sheetrock. There were also a host of other issues. It took about half a second for me to answer ... View the Post
