St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape

If you need a quick St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape this post is for you! Two weeks ago I got lucky and discovered chocolate leprechauns at See’s Candy. I quickly decided to create an entire tablescape around them.

St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape

 St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape

I had gone into the store with the single mission of purchasing three large candy eggs to nest in some Easter baskets. Then I spied Saint Patrick and it was all over. So I had to create a tablescape.

St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape

I had posted a few St. Patrick’s Day ideas last week and really loved this candle.

Green-Ribbon Wrapped Candle

I put my own spin on the idea by taking a glass votive holder and wrapping white Irish linen around it. Kelly green velvet ribbon was wrapped around the middle and secured with a pearl pin. Oh does it look pretty at night!

Green-Ribbon Wrapped Candle with linen

I also loved the white flowers in glass containers.

St Patricks Day flowers

I was able to find green alstroemeria, white freesias, and roses.

St Patricks Day flowers

The glass vase was wrapped in linen too.

St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape

More green velvet was secured with my mom’s lovely vintage broach.

St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape

Our everyday white Villeroy and Boch china and vintage silver-plate make for a simple setting.

St. Patrick’s Day Tplace setting

Corned beef is on the menu. Pardon me, would you happen to mind if I eat it with a bit of spicy mustard? This wee tureen will hold it beautifully.

St. Patrick’s Day Tplace setting

May you have the luck of the Irish!

Your St. Patrick's day table is just perfect! I love the broaches you have attached to the ribbon and linen, and the simple white china just really brings is all together! I truly love corned beef all year long, not just at St. Paddy's day. We have such a full weekend that I am still hoping to squeeze in just a wee bit of Irish festivities for the family. It just wouldn't be the same without it.

    Have a lovely weekend!

    Oh Laura,
Everything you create is so very lovely. Puts me to shame, but I love LOVE these adorable little holidays and my house has been festively decorated for a month now for St. Patrick's Day and I too will be creating a special dinner, but I don't have any fun chocolate like that. This small rural area, isn't really filled with lots of specialty items – boo 🙁

Hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend,

Laura, the soft greens inspire me. It sets the tone for St. Patrick's Day, a day that traditionally brightens us up as we ready for spring.

I have never seen St. Patrick's Chocolate and would like to know where you found it.

Do you grow Lily of the Valley? I had forgotten how much I miss having those little treasures in my garden.

Oh, your tablescape is lovely! I am partial to the white flowers too. The other day, I somehow came home from the grocery store with white hyacinths, and shamrocks with white flowers. They know what they are doing when they put the flowers by the entrance. It's the first thing you see, you have to walk by (and smell) them, and you haven't filled up your cart yet and begun to feel anxious about your checkout total.
Love your candle ideas, and your Mum's brooch is really special.

This is such a beautiful tablescape, Laura! I would never venture into a See's Candy store, even for a cute St Patrick or an Easter Bunny — it would be my downfall! The white flowers are so pretty, and the gorgeous broach is such a treasure. I do nothing special for St. Patrick's Day. My only “nod” to this day is that I have lots of green in my Spring and Easter decor; oh, I also have green eyes — does that count?
