A Lighter End of Summer Schedule

Hello, dear lovelies! Did you have a wonderful weekend? I spent a good majority of it with my nose in a schoolbook. This week is midterms for me. I imagine that I might finally find the solar-powered outdoor lights Mr. Décor has been wanting to string up in our trees. Here are thoughts for A Lighter End of Summer Schedule. A Summertime Bedroom When we first moved into Storybook Cottage both the Mr. and I knew right away that we could only live for a few days with the feeling that we were sleeping inside an avocado. But I had no idea WHAT color to paints the walls. I already knew that the curtains we had in our last two houses were a foot and half too short for the ... View the Post

A Closer Look at the Kitchen Renovation Subway Tile Backsplash

When we first decided to replace the countertops, we had a thought to keep the existing backsplash. The variegated square stone tiles weren’t too bad. However, once we decided to go with Corian countertops, the bottom tiles needed to be removed for the countertop installation. Upon closer inspection, we knew there would be no way to salvage the stone tile as they had been applied directly to the sheetrock. There were also a host of other issues. It took about half a second for me to answer ... View the Post

A Pretty Storage Solution for an Iron and Ironing Board

At Storybook Cottage I have tried to make the most of the small space our pantry/utility room offered by adding storage wherever I could. The wall where our pantry closet is located is a mere 2 feet wide. It seemed perfect for A Pretty Storage Solution for an Iron and Ironing Board. A Pretty Storage Solution for an Iron and Ironing Board None of the ready-made options appealed to me. A quick spin on Pinterest showed attractive ways to hang an ironing board. But what about the ... View the Post
