Spring Wreath with Burlap and Fresh Flowers

Up until a week ago I still had my Valentine wreath hanging on the front door. It was time for a Spring Wreath with Burlap and Fresh Flowers. Spring Wreath with Burlap and Fresh Flowers I needed a change and wanted a wreath that gently smiled “spring has sprung”! I used the wire wreath form from last year's spring wreath. a few terra cotta pots were in my shed and I purchased a few more at Michaels using a coupon. The pots can be found at many craft, dollar, and gardening stores for under ... View the Post

St Patricks Day Food and Fun

St. Patrick’s Day is sneaking up on me. I sat down last night to get inspired. Here is St Patricks Day Food and Fun. Long-time readers of my blog know I love out-of-the-box and inexpensive ideas. Repurposing sweaters as “vase warmers” yep, it’s a winner. St Patricks Day Food and Fun Indeed the entire scene is perfect for those who may not quite have a St. Paddy’s “spring” in their step. Vintage Floral Easter Eggs

Way back in September I found this gem at Goodwill. It was stained, chipped….well, a complete mess. After I peeled off all the decoration and sanded it down it received two coats of Annie Sloan white chalk paint. Then it stayed in this state for months. I wanted a bit of decoration on the front panel and I thought about ... View the Post

Inexpensive and Easy Valentine Decor

Several of you asked for more information on two of the elements shown in Monday’s French Country inspired Valentine table. Here is some Inexpensive and Easy Valentine Decor. Inexpensive and Easy Valentine Decor The party favors and napkins captured your heart. I too really love the napkins. Probably because they were .25 cents each! In the after Christmas sales, I found a stack of 6 generously sized red and white dishtowels on clearance for $3.00. At less than .50 cents a piece, I ... View the Post

Cute As A Button Valentine Mantle and Garland

Earlier this week I took a break from studying and decorated the center space of our living room entertainment center. As we don’t have a fireplace this space has become a faux mantle or “fantle” of sorts in our home. The theme was Cute As A Button Valentine Mantle and Garland. Cute As A Button Valentine Mantle and Garland As I began piling on the doilies, lace, and paperbacks there were a few spots that needed just a bit of something more. The darling button garland that Donna from Funky ... View the Post
