St Patricks Day Food and Fun

St. Patrick’s Day is sneaking up on me. I sat down last night to get inspired. Here is St Patricks Day Food and Fun. Long-time readers of my blog know I love out-of-the-box and inexpensive ideas. For the past month, whenever I have had a spare moment I’ve been creating some lovely pastel colored Vintage Floral Easter Eggs. Vintage Floral Easter Eggs The eggs themselves were papier-mâché forms that were imported from Germany. Sadly, Blümchen no longer carries these exact gems. I gave each egg three coats of paint and topped it with a soft glaze.  The interiors remained brightly shaded for a fun ... View the Post

The Key To My Heart

The Key To My Heart: I used to have keys scattered all over my house. The Key To My Heart Now they are all in one safe place hanging in my laundry/utility room. Way back in September I found this gem at Goodwill. It was stained, chipped….well, a complete mess. After I peeled off all the decoration and sanded it down it received two coats of Annie Sloan white chalk paint. Then it stayed in this state for months. I wanted a bit of decoration on the front panel and I thought about ... View the Post

Several of you asked for more information on two of the elements shown in Monday’s French Country inspired Valentine table. Here is some Inexpensive and Easy Valentine Decor. Inexpensive and Easy Valentine Decor The party favors and napkins captured your heart. I too really love the napkins. Probably because they were .25 cents each! In the after Christmas sales, I found a stack of 6 generously sized red and white dishtowels on clearance for $3.00. At less than .50 cents a piece, I ... View the Post
