Hello and welcome to the Storybook Cottage Spring Fling Home Tour. I am so happy to be joining 18 other creatives this week in showcasing our spring inspired home decor. A big thank you to Living Large in A Small House and Amy Sadler Designs for hosting the tour.

Spring Fling Home Tour
Today I am sharing all the pretty spring touches that have recently been added to our kitchen and informal dining area.

On the dining table the centerpiece features a vintage tool box that Mr. Decor made for me several years ago.
I recently found the bunny pick at Hobby Lobby.

I couldn’t resist that cute face and nestled it among the petunias and dusty miller plants.
The plants were simply placed in the box, still in their garden store containers, and covered with a bit of Spanish moss.

Let’s take a closer look at the antique shelf.

Nothing new was purchased. I simply looked through my spring decor and selected a few of my favorite things.

The common element was sticking to a pink color palette and pairing the items with pretty neutrals.

The Kitchen
Let’s hop over to the kitchen.
We renovated our early 80’s kitchen back in 2022. You can read about the German Schmear treatment applied to the brick HERE.

All of the copper received a good polishing.
I can’t even tell you how long I have had these Fitz and Floyd salt and pepper shakers. When you’ve been writing a design blog since 2008 things can fade away with the decades.
Everything and the kitchen sink.

I love patchwork bunnies. I shared a simple pattern HERE using old quilt tops.

I like to store my coffee pods and collagen powder in vintage inspired glass canisters.

I removed the winter dishes from the glass fronted cabinet and filled it with my collection of antique Bavarian china.
Some of the pieces belonged to my great grandmother, Emma, who immigrated to the U.S. from Germany when she was just 16 years old.
I think the various patterns and designs work well together.
I hope you have enjoyed this year’s spring kitchen tour.
