Sweet Saturday A Joyful July

Hello sweet friends I was working out in the garden this morning trying to beat the heat. Here’s to Sweet Saturday A Joyful July.

Sweet Saturday A Joyful July

Mediterranean Galette

I am preparing for houseguests who will arrive next week. In doing the menu planning I loved the idea of serving this Mediterranean vegetable and goat’s cheese galette for lunch. It truly showcases summer’s bounty.

Sweet Saturday A Joyful July

I recently got out my large collection of seashells after viewing this post on seaside crafts to create.

This may contain: there is a shelf with seashells and other items on top of the mantle

A Cottage Renovation

Asher House, a country cottage renovation project in Oxfordshire, features so many inspiring ideas for creating the English garden look.

This may contain: a table and chairs in front of a stone building with flowers growing around the windows

Repurposing An Antique Bed

How beautiful and clever to transform an antique headboard and footboard into a beautiful kitchen hood.

This may contain: the kitchen is clean and ready for us to use

Watchlist

I’ve been watching A Woman of Substance on Britbox. The costumes, countryside and set designs are absolutely incredible.

Note: This series does have adult themes so it is not recommended for children.

After THAT A Woman of Substance cliffhanger, here's what will happen in a second season

Have a wonderful weekend,

Laura

I love Asher House. Reminds me of a photo I took in the Cotswolds. I haven’t made little tins in ages. Those are wonderful. I was thinking about pitching my tin stash but maybe I need to take a think about that!

Laura i love the antique bed refurbishing into a kitchen hood…beautiful. and of course your part in the Little House on the Prairie visit…you know we lived in New Mexico for almost ten years and those sod houses are like the adobe houses there. I especially loved the deep set windows , utilizing the 15 inch adobe walls…they just made the windows more interesting and I noted the sod house had the same type. Have a great and blessed time with your upcoming guests.
