Hello sweet friends! I am joining some wonderful creatives in the Seasonal Saturday’s Hop hosted by Follow The Yellow Brick Home. Didn’t you love Amber’s winter decor? Today, I am sharing some Vintage Inspired Valentine Spun Cotton Cuties.

The Inspiration
I have always loved vintage spun cotton figures. I was lucky enough to inherit several Christmas cuties from each of my grandmothers. I have searched for years to find Valentine themed figures but they are very rare. Those I have found have been $50 and up which is not in my budget.

The Supplies
The figures that I created feature many true vintage elements that I have collected over the years.
I did find some of the supplies over on Amazon.
- True cotton pipe cleaners
- Assorted scraps of ribbon
- Spun cotton heads (use fine tip pens to create the faces)
- Assorted embroidery thread (wind on bamboo skewers, wet and then let dry to create the hair)
- Cupcake liners to use as a skirt
- Assorted pom poms
- Glue gun
- Cardboard glitter hearts and vintage wooden spools were used as bases for figures
Vintage Inspired Valentine Spun Cotton Cuties
I spent an entire day crafting several figures. Then I created a fun scene on my kitchen shelf.

I had fun posing them on vintage jello molds, mini wagons and pink bottlebrush trees found in the Christmas clearance section of Michaels.

These sweet gals make me smile.

A special delivery of cuteness.

So, so cute! As many antique stores as I have been to, I have never seen these before. As delicate as they are, I guess not very many have survived. You’re so lucky to have your grandmothers’.
I’m not sure if they are the cutest thing ever because they are on vintage molds or their clothes are made from cupcake liners! So stinkin’ cute! I can’t imagine the time and effort that went into making them, but it seems worth it because your Valentine’s shelf is adorable. So fun. pinned
These little cuties make my heart sing! You nailed it with the authentic, vintage look. Just so adorable!
I want to make some!
Thanks so much for joining the hop!
