The Image Features:
- White shelves
- Tureen filled with pinecones
- A sculptured bust
- Basket of hydrangeas

- Brown transferware
A Touch Of Fall In The Green Hutch
This green hutch takes pride of place in our living room. It was found for an absolutely song at a thrift shop. The dated 60’s gem was given a makeover here.
It most recently showcased my collection of antique Bavarian china.
For this months Pinterest Challenge I incorporated many similar design elements found in the original inspiration photo.

After giving the hutch a cleaning I filled it with some of my favorite treasures.

Starting on the top shelf I included one of my favorite Grecian inspired busts. Harlequin Romance paperbacks from the thrift store had their covers removed and were bundled together with pretty vintage ribbons.

A small white tureen was filled with pinecones and favorite pieces of The Friendly Village china was nestled throughout.

I kind of like the texture that the bundled books add to the arrangment.

Two French language books were found at an estate sale a few years ago and are a decorating staple. I’m a big believer in buying classic pieces you love. You will use them over and over in your decorating.

I hope you’ll come by for a cozy cup of tea very soon!

I hope you enjoyed this monthโs Pinterest Challenge. Up next on the tour is French Ethereal You will love her fall inspired decor tips.

I used to think “dining room” hutches/cabinets should only display china. And when James and I got married, I didn’t like any of the china patterns, so we never registered for those. I didn’t miss having a hutch or china until about 5 years ago when I saw someone adding lots of other things to their cabinet. I loved it so much and realized I needed some sort of shelving or a hutch to decorate with things much more fun.
Not only is your cabinet gorgeous, but the styling is too. I love how full it looks, and the china is on my bucket list for finds. The bust is perfect, and I can’t get over the dark pinecones being such a great addition to the plates.
So glad you’re back to joining in! pinned

Oh my gosh! Your hutch is a beautiful color. I love how you have styled it; it’s fall perfection. ๐
Laura, your hutch really transformed with all the Friendly Village plates and tableware! I have some of that set, too, but thought I’d save them to bring out later, hence the new brown transferware in my shelf display. ๐ Love love love your lady bust!! She adds her regal presence here nicely, and the pinecones are always fun. Beautiful!!
Enjoy your freshly decorated hutch and best wishes with the fabric sale this weekend,
Hugs,
Barb ๐
