Hello sweet friends, I hope you had a wonderful week. We have gotten absolutely drenched here at Storybook Cottage. I took a turn about the gardens earlier this week and was delighted to discover that a peony bush that I thought had been lost has returned. Isn’t it wonderful how nature always suprises us? Heres to Friday Favorites Springtime.
Friday Favorites Springtime
Within a span of a week I have heard the term Chaos Gardening several times on various sites. It is defintely the perfect term for what is going on in my own garden. While I do stick to a color palette of white, pinks and purples, there is definitelly an aspect of chaos going on. I simply just plop down new plants into a space that needs to be filled. I hope for the best and am always delighted each spring to see what returns.
A Cotswold Cottage
This 17th century cottage, located in Tetbury, England, is chock full of charm.
Pretty Painted Candles
Spring cleaning has commenced here at the cottage. I have an entire small cupboard of candles. Some old specimens had become discolored with age and for a moment I thought about tossing them. But I hate to be wasteful. Instead, I think I am going to transform them into pretty painted candles with a bit of acrylic paint.
Rosemary Lemon Tart
This semi-homemade rosemary lemon tart looks so scrumptious and goes together in minutes!
Spring Centerpiece Ideas
I love the idea of a floral centerpiece that lives on. This post has three gorgeous ideas.
I hope you have a lovely weekend. I’ll be back on Tuesday with a fun project.

Thanks for the pictures of spring! Up here in rural Michigan, Old Man winter is popping up this weekend and next week! Frost and freeze overnight this weekend and at least 1 night this next week! Plus highs only in the 50’s.

I love all the pretty garden colors Laura…of the different cottages…I like to plant like you do, if there is a bare space…this plant goes there. LOL. Thank you for sharing. Happy Spring.
