Hello and welcome to the Storybook Cottage Mulberry Falliday Home Tour. I am participating in this lovely hop organized by my friend Marty of A Stroll Thru Life .
If you are coming over from The House on Silverado I am so glad that you are here. Wasn’t Niky’s fall decor so wonderfully cozy?
Mulberry Falliday Home Tour
My summer tour this year featured copious amounts of green and white. As it is still quite warm in my neck of the woods I simply added shades of mulberry, burgundy, and wine alongside layers of neutrals.
Our small entry helps to set the tone. A few stems from the Dollar Tree were arranged in an old urn.
Living Room
The entry leads directly into the living room.
I’m a big believer in investing in classic decor pieces. The books, pedestals, candlesticks and more have been used many times over the years.
A sprinkling of mulberry hued mini pumpkins decorate the mantel. They were originally found on a decor pick from Hobby Lobby on sale for $2.99.
It’s always a bit of a challenge to decorate the open cave that is next to the firebox.
My beloved Fortnum & Mason hamper is chock full of pumpkins found very inexpensively at estate sales and thrifts shops over the years.
As it is still so hot I’ve left the white slipcovers on for awhile longer. But rosy hued pillows works nicely to incorporate color.
More Dollar Store stems for the win.
Dining Area
The dining area is dressed very simply.
Vintage linen placemats and The Friendly Village china are longtime favorites.
Mr. Decor made several wooden boxes a few years ago when we lost our fence to a tornado.
I love the tiny winking Staffordshire pitcher I picked up at a British boot sale for £1.
Kitchen
The most used room at Storybook Cottage truly is the heart of the home.
I still love the German Schmear treatment we used to update the formerly orange brickwork.
One of my favorite types of artwork is Dutch still life. It is perfect for the fall.
The last of the sunflowers from the garden look lovely in pewter ware. The various vintage pieces were given to me by the lovely Mrs. Nancy Roberts. She is my son’s future grandmother in law.
I hope you have enjoyed my Mulberry Falliday Home Tour.
Up next is DIY Beautify. You will love Cindy’s autumnal themed living room!

What a great choice to use mulberry colors this year! It’s so striking with your decor. As I suspected, everything looks perfectly put together. Now to just sit back and enjoy it! Loved the basket full of pumpkins too. Seriously so beautiful. Now if you could just talk to mother nature and get her to cooperate, that would be awesome. 🙂
