Hello sweet friends, I hope you are enjoying a delightful day. Here’s to a special Sunday Smiles Enchanting April.
It’s been a very busy week here at Storybook Cottage! On Monday Mr. Décor had extensive hand surgery in an attempt to regain some mobility in his left hand. It was badly damaged in his accident last fall. As you can imagine he needs my assistance with quite a lot.
We also made a very happy announcement.

I absolutely love this very doable outside Easter décor.
A Delightful Cottage
This sweet cottage is located in North Wessex Downs, England. (Once you are on the site just click View Gallery in the lower right of the photo.)
Welcome Spring
This spring wreath is the perfect amount of pretty.
Coming Up
This week the Fashionista will be celebrating a birthday. She has requested a spring swiss roll.
We’ll be starting repairs on our brick wall.
Easter will be celebrated with our future daughter in laws family.
Then Mr. Décor and I will celebrate 25 years of wedded bliss.
It seems like just yesterday we were announcing our own engagement.
If that sounds like a lot, it is. LOL
Did I also mention we are also co-planning an early May engagement party with the bride to be’s parents?
So, in an effort to preserve my sanity and continue to help Mr. Décor recover I am going to be stepping away for a bit.
There is a very good chance I will be posting on Instagram.
Happy Palm Sunday,
Laura

Well, I know Mr. Decor is in the best of hands. It has been quite the week for you. For whatever reason, a couple of photos didn’t show up here but I’m sure they were wonderful!

Sorry it has been awhile since I have checked in on your blog but I have been enjoying your FB and Instagram posts.
You have been so busy with all the events happening in your lives this spring. I hope your dear husband is starting to notice some improvement in his hand and your nursing duties aren’t as heavy duty as before.
Your son and his fiancée are so sweet together. Sending them all the best wishes for their future. How lovely coming on the milestone of your engagement and wedding. The years definitely slip by so fast.
So lovely you were able to be with your darling daughter to celebrate her birthday. The Swiss roll looks amazing. That would be hard to wait a whole year to enjoy such an amazing treat!
Wishing you all the best and hope you are all doing well and looking forward to a marvelous May! 🙂
