Hello sweet friends! I hope you are enjoying the start of spring. It has been drizzly and cold here. Yet even in the rain I so enjoyed my recent visit to P. Allen Smith’s Beautiful Farm.
P. Allen Smith’s Beautiful Farm
Last week I shared the interiors of P. Allen Smith’s gorgeous home. Today’s post will feature lovely daffodil hill and the darling baby lambs that live at the farm.
Here is a map to give you a general overview of the property.
I began my stroll past the Magnolia Grove.
It is early in the season in the organic vegetable garden.
It’s understandable why visitors come back to the farm throughout the seasons. I can only image what Hydrangea Alley looks like in full bloom during the summer months.
Hidden Rose Garden
While the roses in the hidden garden were still slumbering the beautiful folly and statuary nestled along the Arkansas River make for a stunning image.
On this leisurely stroll I encountered such wildlife as bunnies and frogs as well as salamanders swimming in Swan Pond.
The Outbuildings
There are quite a few outbuildings on the property as well. This was the drying house.
The door was open so my friend Kelly and I took a peek.
The Terrace Garden.
Daffodil Hill
Daffodil Hill has over one million bulbs that bloom each spring.
At the top of the hill is the sheep pasture. On it sits a sweet garden house that is decorated for each season.
But what was inside was far more exciting!
Oh my heart! My favorite lamb wore a coat of many colors that you can see in today’s video which is linked below.
The side entry made a perfect picture frame around dear friend Kelly.
Poultryville and Friends
On the way to Poultryville you pass by Garden Home Cottage. It can be rented out for weekend getaways and wedding celebrations.
There are also numerous goats and sheep that live on the property.
The resident donkey, Moose, and I became fast friends. This image was taken for my friend Cindy of County Road 407. We share a love of these sweet creatures.
Why yes, I am wearing overalls. What would you wear to a farm on a rainy day? I’m a 4H girl forever!
P. Allen Smith has over 40 heritage breeds living at the farm. You can read more about his Heritage Poultry Conservancy HERE.
My favorites are the Silkies with their fun hairdos.
I hope you have enjoyed this springtime visit to the farm.

Those lambs are so perfect that at first glance I thought they were an arrangement of china or faux lambs. I can see why you loved them — they are truly adorable. What a gorgeous garden, beautiful property. And what a wonderful experience you enjoyed. I must check out this video!
