Sunday Smiles Heart In Hand

Years ago I worked for a Danish family as a nanny. At Christmas time the family decorated their trees with Julehjerter (woven paper hearts). This darling craft brought back that happy memory.

Deconstructed Lasagna

While I am so thankful for our single burner hotplate, I can’t wait to have an oven again. On my list of things to make is this dish.

Lots of loving charm here, Laura! I might have to dig out my spools today and take a page from your book!

Wow that Maison de Lee was fantastic. Did you notice the stove in that fabulous kitchen? I actually got lost looking at so many others! Happy Sunday!

My son’s special needs Boy Scout troop did something similar to this. We sewed hearts and stuffed them to give to seniors in nursing homes. who might be forgotten at Valentine’s Day.

I think making hearts to give to the nursing home residents for those who might be forgotten on Valentine’s Day was a truly loving and selfless thing to do. When I was young and traveling across the United States, I often worked for a short time at nursing homes as an aide. According to my experiences, about 90 percent of the residents would be forgotten on Valentine’s Day and most other holidays. What you did was lovely.

Laura, I spent a long time writing a comment to you this morning about a lot of delightful times reading about Ashley’s colorful pastel home yesterday. But then I lost that entire detailed comment to you!. You have a talent for choosing things that your followers really enjoy. Things on TV, other blogs, etc. I always trust your opinion. I only follow three blogs these days and yours is one of them. You are top shelf in everything you do here in my opinioin. I read every one of Ashley’s posts yesterday and now I’ll look at the others. I love what she does with color. I need to add her to my blog list.
