Hello sweet friends, Happy Friday! For all those who have been asking for more Lessons With Laura you are in luck. Today, part one of a three part holiday series, a Little House on the Prairie Inspired Christmas begins.
Little House on the Prairie Inspired Christmas
I have transformed the sunroom with happy touches inspired by the Little House books.
Blue willow plates are a nod to Farmer Boy. The red mittens recall when Mr. Edwards was Santa Claus.
The tree is decorated with a popcorn garland and features cones filled with fruits, nuts, as well as sweet ornaments collected over the years.
GIVEAWAY
This is primarily a YouTube series. In today’s video a closer look is taken of the tree and I read chapter 21, Merry Christmas from By The Shores of Silver Lake.
There is also a GIVEAWAY on the YouTube channel to celebrate that I recently reached the milestone of 1000 subscribers.
The Dress
In the video I am wearing the Tasha Tudor Inspired Pioneer dress that I made last year. Pattern details can be found HERE.

Fun Future Activities
For Jane Austen lovers: This Sunday I am doing an Instagram Live on my friend Tiffany’s Stitchin’ Addiction stories. We will be discussing holiday celebrations in the Regency era including decor, recipes and more!
On Tuesday I will be participating in the Christmas Home Tours.
No, I’m not sleeping much. Smile.
I hope you enjoy today’s video. I’ll see you Sunday,
Laura

So much fun stuff, Laura! I love the tree and how you incorporated elements from the book into the decor. The Blue Willow and dolls all tie it together so well! What fun!
