Welcome to the July Pinterest Challenge. This monthly event is hosted by Cindy of County Road 407. If you are visiting from A Stroll Thru Life may I say “Welcome to Storybook Cottage!” Today I am sharing Fun Lemon Themed Summer Decor.
Fun Lemon Themed Summer Decor
This month the Pinterest Challenge is lemon themed arrangements. Our gorgeous inspiration photo comes from Home is Where The Boat Is.
The tablescape features:
- A floral and lemon centerpiece
- Rattan chargers
- Fun napkin rings
- Lemon dishes
- Lovely goblets
I truly believe in celebrating every day. We had a few happy events last week (The Fashionista earned a major promotion!) and it called for a cheerful tablescape.

- Lovely goblets
For this season’s home tour I had selected a blue color palette for the summer months. Wanting to still continue with the theme I decided to pair the yellow with blue. It is a color combination that I adore.
Our blue Polish pottery was paired it with a happy scalloped edge runner.
Over on the sideboard the tiered tray I made sports a lemon theme too.
Easy Lemon Napkin Rings
The tablescape features fun lemon napkin rings. Similar ready-made versions are quite pricey. I decided to make my own when I spied some small lemon greenery in the Target dollar spot.
The branches were separated and cut with wire cutters.
The lower portion of the branches were twisted into rings and held in place with florist wire then a few leaves were hot glued to cover the wire.
The leaves were topped with a mini faux lemon.
Needing a blue vase that would tie everything together I thought the teapot was perfect!
It was filled with similar blooms featured in the inspirations photo.
White hydrangeas, yellow carnations, Queen Anne’s lace, and mini lemons on bamboo skewers make for a cheerful centerpiece.
You can find other lemon inspired ideas in the links below.
Up next is Paula from Sweet Pea.

Your table setting is lovely and I really like those dishes. But my favorite is the tip for the lemon napkin rings. I am going to make some fun rings.

Laura~It is just lovely but you ALWAYS do a lovely job of it. I really love seeing lemons used in decorating and the smell is amazing when you have then in arrangements.
Hope you have a wonderful day~xo Diana

Your tablescape is beautiful as is your floral centerpiece. You were clever to think of a way to make your own lemon themed napkin rings. I agree with the others that you can’t go wrong with a blue and yellow color combination.

Laura, I love that you used your Polish teapot and its matching warmer as a vase for those lovely flowers… Beautiful table with just a pop of yellow. I have a polish lady butter dish and a Polish teapot and warmer in a different style than yours, but otherwise identical. (Maybe you saw them when you were here last?) Did you find yours when your husband and family were stationed in Germany? I found mine on base with my sister-in-law when we visited them in England, 2005. Very unique pieces!! Love the napkin rings, too. <3
Congratulations to your daughter on her promotion!!!
Hugs,
Barb 🙂

Laura,
I have not been able to think about anything but cold lemon meringue pie ever since I looked at the floral arrangement in this post. The white hydrangeas look like a big fluffy cloud of whipped cream.

Laura, I love how the bright lemons pop against the beautiful, rich wood of your dining room furnishings! The napkin rings are fanstastic and the tiered tray is so cute.
I love the beautiful, crisp summerly table linens and the blue dishes are perfect with the lemon yellow.
So fun hopping with you! Happy summer!

Hydrangeas and lemons! What a perfect combo. And I love the Polish pottery. I only have two pieces, small ones. These are so pretty with the lemon — but then I’ve always been a blue and yellow fan!
