I couldn’t resist making a hat for myself and for dear Gracie.

All of the scrapbook paper and trims that were used I have had for ages.
I actually hand glittered some plastic eggs I had. Such are the times when you stay home.
The Easter Doxie
Gracie of course needed her own bonnet. It is half the size.
This is the image that I used for the front of her hat. The dachshund was often used on German holiday cards.
I kept hers simple so it would be as light as possible.
Because she generally feels like this about dressing up.
But will do it for Scooby snacks!
But like most doxies, she loves to please.

Laura, I followed the link near your cute dress to learn the story behind the dress. (I really love that dress!) I read the post about your birthday dress and this is the thought that immediately enter my mind when I was done reading was, “Someone would have to b e insane not to hire her.” Seriously, Laura, if I was a billionaire and owned 10 companies, I would call you up and ask you to be the president of all of them. Except then you would be in meetings all day and it would waste your talents. All I have to say about anyone who didn’t hire you is:: Dumb, really dumb. Huge mistake.

You can see my bonnet on today’s blog. It’s not nearly so creative or cute as yours, more Grey Gardens than cute chic! Gracie is MUCH better about posing in hats that Lizzie is. You both look darling and it’s such a cute hat!
