Hello sweet friends! Somehow it is once again time for the monthly Pinterest Challenge hosted by Cindy of County Road 407. If you are stopping by via Our Southern Home may I say, “Welcome”. It finally cooled down a bit here a bit in Texas and has begun to feel a bit like fall. Recently I was in Round Top, Texas working at antiques week and gained Inspiration For A Fall Harvest Table.
The Challenge
This month’s challenge is seasonal tabletop decor. The inspiration photo was created by Lindsey Brunk.
The arrangement features:
- A tablecloth and napkin
- Autumnal centerpiece
- Layered silverware
I’ve been writing a design website since dinosaurs roamed the earth and have created similarly styled tablescapes in the past.
Here are just a few with a similar feel.
Inspiration For A Fall Harvest Table
But back to this month’s CHALLENGE.
I decided to turn the challenge into how I am INSPIRED by this month’s image.
After all, I do need to start thinking about how I will decorate our upcoming Thanksgiving table.
During the week I was working at Marburger Farm, the Farm Girls Supper Club hosted a farm-to-table dinner party alfresco. A portion of the proceeds went to support the Houston chapter of Dwell With Dignity.
The various, rustic but elegant, tablescapes truly caught my eye.
There was a unifying theme of:
- White plates
- Crystal
- Vintage and antique silverware
- A hand-lettered menu
- Gorgeous centerpieces featuring seasonal flowers
Each place setting also had a party favor. All styles of vintage wooden spoons and spatulas were used.
Yes, indeed I came away truly inspired. I see a similar Thanksgiving table setting in my future.

Up next on the tour is Let’s Add Sprinkles!
I’ll be back on Thursday.

I love this Tablescapes theme, flowers and crystal. Rustic and elegant. It works no matter what you call it. I think I could look at tablescapes all day and draw a zillion ideas and variations. I miss the day when we’d see them more often–but then again I’m guilty of slacking off, too! 😉
Thanks, Laura. Super post!

Hi Laura. First , what fun to work at Roundtop. I didn’t get to go this fall, but hopefully I’m the spring. How wonderful that a tablescape was created right there. Really pretty and in such a wonderful setting. Thanks for sharing.
